Renovation Updates 11/23

Good Morning and Happy Thanksgiving to all. Although a short week, the Great Renovation continues with framing of the second floor of the south addition along with the elevator shaft and stairwell. The back door exterior concrete pad was poured and exterior door frame installed. The sidewalk section along Franklin Street that was removed to enable power and communications conduits to be installed underground from the power pole to the building was poured with replacement brick curbing to follow. Interior work included blocking in walls to support shelving and various accessories and fire alarm rough-in has begun. A library “bookshelf committee” has begun work to design bookshelf drawings and prepare for fabrication of the bookshelves that will be installed in spring ’24. Many thanks to our library communities for the kind words and support throughout the duration of the Great Renovation!
