The Great Renovation continues this week with the electrical contractor removing the old 200 amp electrical service from exterior since the new 400 amp service is now complete.
Exterior window caulking continues along with installation of the new entrance vestibule windows and door front on the north side. The entrance doors will have electrical operators for opening assistance. Taping and spackling of the drywall continues in addition to prime painting areas that are ready. Second floor tin ceiling installation in the stack area continues. The elevator parts have arrived and installation of base supports and vertical rails is in progress. The mechanical contractor continues tying in the heating system piping in the basement into the boiler room and installing fin tube radiation in the respective rooms upstairs. The electrical contractor is energizing electrical distribution panels on each floor.
This is a much needed improvement for each floor to have its own dedicated panel in lieu of only two panels distributing power willy-nilly throughout the library!! The library will now actually know what circuits serve what areas!
