The Great Renovation continued this week with a full complement of trades on the job after a well-deserved holiday break! Mechanical work included extending the boiler chimney up through the roof of the stair tower/elevator shaft which enabled the finishing touches of exterior framing and sheathing to be completed on the east side. Mechanical also progressed with installation of interior ductwork and heating system piping. Plumbing included installation of a new water service for fire protection and domestic potable water off of Park Street. Electrical rough-in continued with installation of electrical panel feeder cables to panels on each floor in addition to circuit distribution on each floor. Carpentry continued on stair tower stair stringers, treads and risers, finish framing on the elevator/stair tower utility chase, installation of insulation in the stair tower walls, sheetrock installation beginning on the elevator shaft walls, framing of the elevator machine room and interior wall strapping. All in all a good week of progress!
